Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive payments via cash, mobile money, debit/credit cards, and other approved platforms
  • Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records
  • Ensure proper handling and accountability of cash and payments
  • Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with general inquiries
  • Coordinate with pharmacy staff to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station
  • Support administrative and basic stock-related tasks when required

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Grade 12 School Certificate with credits in Mathematics and English
  • Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (added advantage)
  • Experience as a cashier in a retail environment (added advantage)
  • Good numerical and record-keeping skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Honest, reliable, and responsible handling of financial transactions
