Job Type: Full-time

Location: Lusaka, Lusaka, Zambia

Summary:
To pick stocks as per the picking slip and deliver them to the picking area specified by a team leader or manager for collection and delivery for the benefit of customers.

Functions / Responsibilities:

1. Adhere to Company Policy and Procedures

  • Ensure ongoing understanding of company policies and procedures affecting the execution of your function.

2. Pick Stock

  • Wear BIBs to identify yourself with customers at all times.
  • Pay attention to quality and quantity of picked stock and inform your manager where it is incorrect.
  • Draw the correct stock according to the invoice/picking slip/cash sale to meet customer requirements.
  • Carry out verbal orders/instructions from your line manager and request assistance if unsure about a task.

3. Load Items – On/Off Delivery Trucks / Customer Vehicles

  • Load or offload stock from customer or delivery vehicles.
  • Accompany delivery driver to deliver, collect, or exchange stock when required.
  • Merchandise incoming stock on the correct shelves in the store.
  • Advise customers regarding picked stock and indicate when stock is unavailable or not of the correct standard.
  • Assist customers efficiently.

4. Satisfy Internal and External Customers

  • Handle customers according to company service standards.
  • Present a positive image, greet customers, understand their needs, and respond to queries.

5. Housekeeping

  • Maintain neat and tidy internal and external yard areas.
  • Ensure stock is packed in allocated areas.
  • Perform general cleaning duties.

6. Safety Awareness

  • Wear correct PPE when picking high-rise stock.
  • Follow correct safety procedures.
  • Adhere to safety regulations when working with gas.
  • Maintain material handling equipment and report any damage or malfunction.
